Mrs. Devota Kayitesi is a seasoned educator and information specialist with over 20 years of experience working with children, youth, and adults in various community programs. She holds a Diploma in Education, a Diploma in Library Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Information Science. She also holds post-graduate Certificates in Family and Couple Counseling. Devota has a rich history of collaboration with NGOs, educational institutions, government ministries, and community groups. At CCBI, she is dedicated to empowering disadvantaged populations to support themselves through community-based initiatives, focusing on sustainable development, social cohesion, and inclusive growth. Throughout her career, Devota has advocated for the rights and voices of the disadvantaged. She has designed and implemented impactful programs that address the unique needs of underserved populations, particularly in education, economic empowerment, health, behavioral change communication, and disaster risk reduction. Her commitment to fostering inclusive environments is evident in her efforts to promote community-led development and empower individuals to take ownership of their growth. Devota’s deep understanding of social dynamics, unwavering dedication to empowerment, and genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those she serves are the cornerstones of her work.
