Welcome to CCBI

CCBI is a local NGO commited to empowering disadvantaged communities and promoting sustainable livelihoods through capacity building, economic empowerment, and behavior change communication.

Genesis

CCBI began by observing pregnant unwed teen girls dropping out of school near Mwurile cell. We identified root causes, implemented preventive measures, and supported victims to ensure their children's welfare

Vision

To create a positive, lasting change within communities through comprehensive and impactful initiatives

Mission

To empower disadvantaged populations, by breaking the cycle of poverty, enhancing their well-being, and unlocking their full potential.

Our Focus

Capacity building

At CCBI through comprehensive capacity-building programs, we empower youth and teen mothers. Our programs are centered on offering opportunities for entrepreneurship, mentorship, life skills development, and basic education.

Economic empowerment

At CCBI, we empower teenage mothers through comprehensive support programs and skill development. Our approach includes counseling sessions to address unique challenges, an integrated curriculum to equip mothers with essential skills, and post-graduation collaboration.

Behavioral change communication(BCC)

Our BCC program is designed to promote positive attitudes, increase self-esteem, and instill agency in these teen mothers. Through counseling groups and individual counseling sessions, we address each mother's unique challenges and promote positive behavior change that supports personal and professional growth.

Our Areas of Intervention

Women Empowerment

The intervention aims at improving the livelihoods of vulnerable women and young girls by promoting empowerment through education, skill development, access to health services, and nutritional support

Youth Empowerment

The intervention targets disadvantaged youth by equipping them with practical skills in sewing, fostering self-reliance, employability, and entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to poverty reduction and community development.

Behavioral Change communication

To enhance the mental well-being, resilience, and social support for teen mothers and their families through professional counseling services, fostering improved family dynamics and better outcomes for both mothers and their children.

Domestic Violence Prevention and Community Engagement

The goal is to promote gender equality, protect vulnerable families, and ensure the safety and well-being of children through community-led initiatives and strengthened collaborative networks.

Education Support

We collaborate with local schools to support vulnerable children and young mothers through financial aid, scholarships, and English language training programs, enhancing education, job training, and communication skills for improved learning experiences and access to quality education.
